Is is unconstitutional for an English teacher to read their personal Bible during silent reading time?

Actually I am the teacher... That's why I posted this question.
I work at a liberal school and I would hve to say no. You are not teaching it, you are reading your literature at your own time. HOWEVER be prepared for those parents who are offended and there will be some. I think parents would freak more if you were a teacher of little kids because they are so impressionable and want to mimic you. I personally don't reveal any of my religious or political beliefs to my kids. If you teach middle school then they don't really listen anyways and it is in their nature to oppose so whatever you do will be considered offensive to them and they will just ignore you. Tread lightly....I know some of my liberal school parents would freak if teacher was reading a bible.
